Juventus and Borussia Dortmund Share Eight-Goal Second-Half Spectacle
The 2025/26 UEFA Champions League group stage kicked off in breathtaking fashion with a sensational clash in Turin, as Juventus and Borussia Dortmund played out a jaw-dropping 4-4 draw — with all eight goals coming in a chaotic and unforgettable second half.
From Snoozefest to Instant Classic
Few could have predicted what was to come. The first half was cagey, tactical, and largely uneventful — just one real chance for either side. But from the 52nd minute onward, the game exploded into life, delivering one of the most entertaining halves in recent Champions League memory.
Eight Goals in 43 Minutes
Karim Adeyemi opened the floodgates with a driven low strike from 17 meters. What followed was five minutes of footballing madness. Kenan Yıldız and Felix Nmecha both scored stunning long-range efforts, before substitute Dusan Vlahovic calmly slotted home in a one-on-one situation to make it 2-2.
Dortmund roared back: Rodrigo Couto smashed a fierce shot past Michele Di Gregorio at the near post, and later Ramy Bensebaini converted a penalty awarded for a handball by Lloyd Kelly. Suddenly, it was 4-2 to the visitors.

With time running out, Juventus refused to fold. In the 94th minute, Vlahovic grabbed his second of the night, finishing off a driven cross from Pierre Kalulu. And then, in one final twist, English defender Lloyd Kelly made amends for his earlier handball by heading home a dramatic equaliser past Gregor Kobel.
Final score: Juventus 4–4 Borussia Dortmund. No winner, but plenty of glory — and possibly the match of the season already.
