Marc Guéhi’s Liverpool Move Collapses on Deadline Day
Marc Guéhi will remain a Crystal Palace player after a dramatic deadline day twist saw his proposed move to Liverpool fall through, according to trusted transfer insider Fabrizio Romano.
Despite Liverpool agreeing to pay £35 million (€40 million) plus a 10% sell-on clause, and the England international completing his medical and having a contract ready, Crystal Palace ultimately pulled the plug on the deal.
“The deal between Marc Guéhi and Liverpool has collapsed,” Romano reported. “Despite medical done and deal sheet submitted, Crystal Palace don’t approve the move following Igor deal off.”
The 25-year-old defender, a product of the Chelsea Academy, joined Palace in 2021 and has since become a cornerstone of their defence, earning regular call-ups to England’s national team.
