Personal terms with Isak had reportedly been agreed weeks ago

p>The long-running transfer saga involving Alexander Isak appears to be finally over — and it ends with the Swedish striker on his way to Liverpool.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Newcastle United forward is set to join the Premier League champions after the two clubs agreed a fee believed to be around £130 million (over €150 million) — exactly the price tag set by the Magpies earlier in the summer.

Liverpool had initially attempted to negotiate the fee down, leading to a temporary standstill in talks. But with the transfer window clock ticking down, the Reds finally accepted Newcastle's demands in a dramatic late twist.

Personal terms with Isak had reportedly been agreed weeks ago. The 25-year-old has been keen on the move all summer and had made it clear he no longer wanted to continue at St James' Park. Romano now reports that Isak is flying to Liverpool to undergo his medical and put pen to paper on a long-term contract.
