Christopher Nkunku Joins AC Milan from Chelsea for €37M
AC Milan have secured their new central striker, and it is Christopher Nkunku, not Artem Dovbyk, as some had speculated. The Italian giants have reached an agreement with Chelsea FC for the French forward's transfer, worth €37 million, with an additional €5 million in performance-related bonuses.
Nkunku has signed a five-year contract with the Rossoneri, committing his future to Milan after a less-than-ideal spell in London.
Earlier this morning, rumours had circulated linking AC Milan to Artem Dovbyk of AS Roma, but with the acquisition of Nkunku, the Ukrainian forward's move to Milan seems unlikely for now.
For Chelsea, the deal represents a significant financial loss. Having signed Nkunku for €58 million from RB Leipzig in 2023, the Blues will now book a loss of around €16 million on the French forward. Over his brief stint in London, Nkunku made 38 appearances and scored 6 goals.
