Romano reports that all terms between Vázquez and Leverkusen have been agreed

After a storied career with Real Madrid, Spanish defender Lucas Vázquez is set to begin a new chapter — and for the first time, it will take him outside of Spain. According to renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the 34-year-old will join Bayer Leverkusen as a free agent this summer.

Vázquez, a product of Real Madrid's famed youth academy, has been a loyal servant to the club for over a decade, contributing to multiple La Liga and Champions League triumphs. Though he had a loan spell at Espanyol during the 2014–15 season, this move to Leverkusen marks the first time he will play club football outside of Spain.

Romano reports that all terms between Vázquez and Bayer Leverkusen have been agreed, with the player having already passed his medical. The official signing is expected imminently.
