Real Oviedo - Real 0:3

Real Madrid secured a 3-0 victory against a spirited Real Oviedo side, but the final scoreline tells only part of the story. Despite the win, the hosts made life difficult for Xabi Alonso’s men, especially during a second half in which the underdogs took control of proceedings.

The breakthrough came in the 37th minute, when star forward Kylian Mbappé found the back of the net with a clinical finish. Oviedo players protested, claiming a potential foul in the build-up, but the referee stood firm and allowed the goal to stand.

After the break, Veljko Paunović's side turned up the pressure and came agonisingly close to earning a penalty — a claim the referee ultimately waved away. As the game opened up, Real Madrid introduced Vinícius Júnior and Brahim Díaz, a substitution that shifted the momentum back in favour of Los Blancos.

In the 83rd minute, Mbappé struck again on the counter, completing his brace and all but sealing the result. Then, deep into stoppage time, Vinícius added a third to give the scoreline a flattering gloss for the visitors.
