United have submitted a formal offer to Leipzig worth €85 million

According to multiple unofficial sources, Benjamin Šeško has given the green light for a high-profile move to Manchester United. The RB Leipzig striker has reportedly agreed to personal terms on a long-term deal that would keep him at Old Trafford until 2031.

However, the transfer is not finalized just yet. United have submitted a formal offer to Leipzig worth €85 million — with €75 million up front and an additional €10 million in performance-related bonuses.

While there has been no official response from the German side so far, the Red Devils are optimistic. The proposal aligns with Šeško’s desire to join the Premier League giants, and sources close to the deal suggest that Leipzig may be inclined to accept.

The news comes as a significant blow to Newcastle United, who were previously seen as front-runners in the race for the Slovenian forward. With Šeško leaning toward United, the chances of Alexander Isak leaving St. James’ Park this summer have now diminished significantly.
