Newcastle United had made a similar attempt just days ago

According to sources in Manchester, Manchester United have submitted a formal offer worth €85 million to RB Leipzig for rising Slovenian striker Benjamin Šeško. The proposed deal includes €75 million upfront, with an additional €10 million in performance-based bonuses.

Newcastle United had made a similar attempt just days ago, reportedly tabling a €75 million bid, but that offer was swiftly rejected by the Bundesliga side.

What gives United a significant edge in this transfer race is Šeško's own preference — sources close to the player claim that he is keen on a move to Old Trafford. If Leipzig accept the latest proposal, the deal could be finalised within hours.

Benjamin Šeško, who joined RB Leipzig in July 2023, has quickly emerged as one of Europe’s most promising attacking talents. In just 87 appearances for the German club, the 21-year-old has already racked up 39 goals and 8 assists.
