Son Heung-min Confirms Tottenham Exit After a Decade
Tottenham Hotspur captain Son Heung-min has officially announced he will be leaving the club this summer, ending a remarkable 10-year chapter in North London.
The South Korean icon has been synonymous with the Spurs ever since his arrival from Bayer Leverkusen back in 2015. Over the years, he has become a club legend, delivering unforgettable moments — and most recently helping Tottenham secure their long-awaited UEFA Europa League title last season.
Now, at 33, Son is eyeing a new challenge, with sources indicating a move to Major League Soccer is on the cards. Los Angeles FC is reportedly leading the race to sign the superstar forward.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of Tottenham’s pre-season friendly against Newcastle United in South Korea, Son confirmed his decision to step away from English football.
“I just want to let everyone know that I’ve decided to leave this club this summer,” Son stated. “The club is supporting me in this decision.”
Son’s Legacy at Tottenham Hotspur:
10 unforgettable years
454 appearances
173 goals
101 assists
And one very special European trophy.
