The 30-year-old is expected to undergo his medical in the coming days

Tottenham Hotspur have secured the signing of Portuguese midfielder João Palhinha from Bayern Munich on loan until the summer of 2026, according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano.

The deal includes a €30 million buy option, though it is not mandatory. As part of the agreement, Spurs will cover Palhinha’s full salary for the duration of the loan.

The 30-year-old is expected to undergo his medical in the coming days before being officially unveiled by the North London club.

Palhinha’s Struggles at Bayern

João Palhinha joined Bayern Munich from Fulham last summer in a deal worth €51 million, but the Portugal international failed to cement a regular starting role in Bavaria. He featured in 25 matches across all competitions last season but made just 10 starts, struggling to find consistency in a crowded midfield.
