Two Ukrainian clubs were in action — with mixed fortunes

The second-leg ties of the 2025/26 UEFA Europa Conference League second qualifying round were played on July 31. Two Ukrainian clubs were in action — with mixed fortunes.

Oleksandriya's European journey came to a painful end after a heavy 4-0 defeat in Belgrade against Serbian giants Partizan. Having lost the first leg at home 2-0, the Ukrainian side were eliminated with a 0-6 aggregate scoreline, failing to make an impact across both matches.

In contrast, there was jubilation for Polissya Zhytomyr, who pulled off an impressive away win to reach the third qualifying round. After suffering a 2-1 defeat at home to Santa Coloma of Andorra, Polissya roared back with a commanding 4-1 victory on the road, sealing a 5-3 aggregate triumph.

The club now prepares for a crucial clash against Hungarian side Paksi FC in the next round. The two-legged tie is scheduled for August 7 and August 14, with the first leg taking place in Hungary.
