The UEFA Champions League second qualifying round wrapped up on Wednesday night.

The biggest upset came in Bucharest, where North Macedonia’s modest side Shkëndija stunned Romanian giants FCSB with a decisive away victory. The historic club from the Romanian capital — formerly known as Steaua Bucharest — is now out of the Champions League before the group stages even began.

Another major talking point was the elimination of Swiss club Servette. After a promising first-leg draw away to Viktoria Plzeň, many expected them to close the deal at home. But the Czech side had other plans, delivering a commanding performance in Geneva to secure their spot in the next round.
