World Cup winner and former Juventus and Sampdoria manager Andrea Pirlo is set to resume his managerial career in the United Arab Emirates, taking charge of ambitious side Dubai United.

The Italian tactician has signed a deal with the UAE Pro League club that will keep him at the helm until 2027, marking a fresh chapter in his post-playing career after a quiet spell on the job market.

Pirlo had been exploring opportunities in Italy following his departure from Sampdoria, but a return to Serie A failed to materialize. Now, the 2006 FIFA World Cup champion is looking to make his mark in the Middle East.

The 45-year-old has already landed in Dubai and is expected to begin his duties in the coming days, with pre-season preparations underway.
