Benfica Could Sell Anatoliy Trubin After Club World Cup Heroics
Benfica goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin could be on his way out of the Lisbon club, according to Portuguese outlet Record. The 23-year-old Ukrainian international has reportedly attracted serious interest from top European sides following his standout performances at the FIFA Club World Cup.
Benfica are said to be considering a sale to capitalise on Trubin’s rising market value. The club is eyeing a substantial financial return and already sees academy product Samuel Soares as the long-term replacement between the posts.
Reports also indicate that Shakhtar Donetsk, Trubin’s former club, is entitled to 30–40% of any future transfer fee. As of now, Transfermarkt values Trubin at €28 million.
Trubin joined Benfica in the summer of 2023 from Shakhtar and quickly established himself as a first-choice keeper. In the 2024/25 campaign, he has already made 55 appearances across all competitions, further solidifying his reputation as one of Europe’s most promising young goalkeepers.
