Group C wrapped up with a flurry of goals

The group stage of UEFA Women's Euro 2025 delivered high drama on Saturday as Group C wrapped up with a flurry of goals — ten in total across two matches.

Sweden sent a powerful message to their title rivals with a commanding 4-1 victory over Germany, sealing top spot in the group. Despite the heavy defeat, Germany still booked a place in the quarter-finals as runners-up.

The other clash in the group was no less thrilling, as Poland edged out Denmark in a narrow 3-2 win. While it was a spirited performance from the Poles, third place wasn’t enough to secure progression.

Joining Sweden and Germany in the quarter-finals are Norway, Switzerland, Spain, and Italy. The final two spots will be decided on Sunday, with France, England, and the Netherlands all still in contention in the ultra-competitive Group D.
