Brentford seized the opportunity and moved quickly to secure his signature

Jordan Henderson has officially signed a two-year deal with Brentford, stepping into a pivotal leadership role at the Premier League club.

The former Liverpool captain, now 34, underwent a successful medical earlier this week and was unveiled as Brentford’s latest addition, marking a significant coup for the West London side.

After a brief spell with Ajax, Henderson was determined to return to English football. Brentford seized the opportunity and moved quickly to secure his signature, despite interest from several top clubs across England and Europe.

With Christian Nørgaard recently completing a high-profile move to Arsenal, Henderson's arrival couldn't come at a better time. He is expected to fill the leadership void left by the former Bees captain and provide invaluable experience in midfield.

The 84-cap England international brings not only pedigree but a wealth of top-level experience, having won the Premier League and UEFA Champions League during his illustrious spell at Anfield.
