AC Milan have confirmed the sale of French full-back Theo Hernández to Saudi Pro League giants Al Hilal, in a transfer worth €20 million plus performance-related bonuses.

The move was announced on Milan’s official website, while Al Hilal unveiled the 26-year-old via a cinematic video showcasing him in the club’s new kit. The team is now managed by former Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi, who recently took over in Riyadh.

Massive Pay Rise in Saudi Arabia

According to Football Italia, Hernández will earn a staggering €20 million per season with Al Hilal – a salary that leaves little doubt as to why the French international accepted the move. The financial package places him among the highest-paid defenders in world football.

End of an Era at San Siro

Theo Hernández joined Milan from Real Madrid in 2019 for €22 million and quickly became one of the most dynamic full-backs in Serie A. Over five seasons, he made 262 appearances for the Rossoneri, scoring 34 goals and providing 45 assists.
