France Defeat Denmark to Reach U21 Euro 2025 Semi-Finals
France U21 booked their place in the semi-finals of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship 2025 after a dramatic 2–0 victory over Denmark U21, with both goals coming in the final ten minutes of regular time.
It was Quentin Merlin who broke the deadlock late in the game, before Mathys Tel sealed the win with a well-taken strike — sending Les Bleuets into their first U21 Euro semi-final since 2019.
France dominated possession with 62% of the ball and created the lion’s share of scoring opportunities. Yet despite their control, defensive lapses and unforced errors gave Denmark a glimmer of hope throughout the match. In the end, however, talent and patience prevailed for the French side.
