Bayern Munich Eye Real Madrid's Lunin as Neuer Successor
Andriy Lunin could be on the move this summer, with Bayern Munich reportedly targeting the Real Madrid goalkeeper as a long-term replacement for veteran Manuel Neuer. According to TransferFeed, the Bundesliga champions are closely monitoring the Ukrainian’s situation.
Lunin is understood to be open to leaving the Spanish giants in search of more regular first-team action. With Thibaut Courtois reclaiming the No.1 spot in Madrid, Lunin’s playing time has been limited — despite a solid run of performances this season. He featured in 11 matches, conceding 15 goals and recording 4 clean sheets. Notably, he also became the first Real Madrid goalkeeper in 30 years to register an assist in La Liga.
Bayern are said to view Lunin as a high-upside option who could secure the club’s goalkeeping future. However, they are not alone in their interest. The same source lists Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United among the other clubs considering a move for the 25-year-old.
