Former Formula 1 driver has written a new chapter in motorsport history

Former Formula 1 driver Robert Kubica has written a new chapter in motorsport history, claiming a sensational overall victory in the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans with Ferrari AF Corse car No. 83.

Kubica, alongside teammates Yifei Ye and Phil Hanson, crossed the finish line first after a grueling endurance battle, securing a debut win at Le Mans for all three drivers — and adding to Ferrari’s growing legacy at the iconic race.

It marks Ferrari's 12th overall win at Le Mans and their third consecutive triumph after victories in 2023 and 2024. The Prancing Horse has now firmly reestablished itself as a dominant force in endurance racing after decades of absence from the top class.

Porsche Penske Motorsport’s No. 6 car finished second, while Ferrari’s No. 51 and No. 50 entries came home third and fourth respectively, completing a strong showing for the Maranello-based marque.

In the LMP2 class, it was Inter Europol Competition that claimed victory, while the LMGT3 category was topped by Manthey EMA’s 1st Phorm entry.

Kubica also made history by becoming the first Polish driver to win Le Mans overall, while his teammate Yifei Ye became the first Chinese driver ever to stand on the top step of the podium at the legendary endurance race.
