Official: Mathys Tel Joins Tottenham on Permanent Deal
Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the permanent signing of French forward Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich.
Tel, 19, initially joined Spurs on loan in February after struggling for regular minutes at Bayern, where he arrived from Rennes in a €20 million move. The forward has now signed a long-term contract with the North London club until June 2031.
He made his debut for Spurs in a League Cup clash against Liverpool and scored his first goal for the club in the FA Cup against Aston Villa. His maiden Premier League goal came from the penalty spot in a match against Southampton in April. In total, he made 20 appearances across all competitions last season, netting three goals.
Tel is currently representing France at the UEFA U21 European Championship, alongside club teammate Wilson Odobert.
