Former Barcelona wonderkid and Spain international Ansu Fati is set to revive his career in Ligue 1 after AS Monaco reached an agreement with Barcelona over a season-long loan deal.

According to transfer expert Nicolò Schira, the two clubs have agreed terms, with Monaco expected to announce the deal following the player’s medical. The agreement reportedly includes a buy option, giving the French club the possibility of making the move permanent.

Fati, still under contract with Barcelona until 2027, struggled to secure a regular spot at the Camp Nou and recently spent time on loan at Brighton in the Premier League.

A permanent transfer is expected to cost Monaco around €15 million, despite Fati’s original release clause being set at a staggering €400 million.
