The 28-year-old winger has signed a two-year contract with the Turkish champions

Leroy Sané has officially completed his transfer to Galatasaray, ending a five-year spell with Bayern Munich. The 28-year-old winger has signed a two-year contract with the Turkish champions, which includes an option to extend for an additional season.

Sané is set to earn a reported €15 million per year in Istanbul — a figure that underscores the club’s ambitions and the player’s marquee status.

In a heartfelt farewell message posted to social media, the Germany international wrote:

“Dear Bayern fans, after five incredible years in Munich, I’ve decided to begin a new chapter next season. I’m immensely proud to have worn the shirt of the biggest and best club in Germany for over 200 matches. I’ll always treasure the titles we won together. Thank you to the club, the coaching staff, everyone behind the scenes, my teammates — and especially you, the fans — for the time we spent together and the memories we created. I’ll always be grateful for my time here.”

Sané made a total of 220 appearances for Bayern Munich, scoring 61 goals and providing 55 assists across all competitions. He played a crucial role in the club's domestic and European successes during his tenure, including Bundesliga titles and Champions League runs.
