From the opening faceoff in Sunrise, the Panthers looked like a team on a mission

Florida Panthers delivered a commanding performance on home ice, crushing the Edmonton Oilers 6-1 in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final to seize a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series.

From the opening faceoff in Sunrise, the Panthers looked like a team on a mission. They struck twice in the first period to take early control, then continued to pile on the pressure in front of a roaring home crowd. Six different players found the back of the net for Florida, showcasing the team’s offensive depth and clinical finishing.

In goal, Sergei Bobrovsky was once again in top form, turning aside a barrage of shots—including several dangerous opportunities created by Connor McDavid. The Russian netminder frustrated the Oilers’ top line all night, allowing just one goal midway through the second period, which did little to change the momentum.

The loss is a major blow to Edmonton’s hopes, as Florida now stands just two wins away from claiming what would be the franchise’s first-ever Stanley Cup. Game 4 is scheduled for June 12, again at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, where the Panthers will look to extend their advantage and tighten their grip on hockey’s ultimate prize.
