His consistency and end product seem to have given him the edge in one of the most talent-stacked La Liga seasons in recent memory

Barcelona forward Raphinha has reportedly been named La Liga Player of the Season, edging out a competitive field that included Lamine Yamal, Robert Lewandowski, Kylian Mbappé, Jude Bellingham, Vinícius Júnior, Pedri, and Isco.

Though La Liga’s official website has yet to confirm the award, several sources close to the Barcelona camp are reporting that the 27-year-old Brazilian has been informed of the honour.

Raphinha enjoyed a stellar campaign for Barça, scoring 18 goals and delivering 11 assists, leading the Catalan side's attack and often stepping up in crucial moments. His consistency and end product seem to have given him the edge in one of the most talent-stacked La Liga seasons in recent memory.

Meanwhile, teenage sensation Lamine Yamal, widely seen as a Ballon d'Or contender for 2025, had to settle for the award of Best U-23 Player. While impressive in his own right, many had expected the 17-year-old prodigy to challenge for top individual honours after a breakout year.
