The 26-year-old Cunha brings a wealth of experience across Europe’s top leagues

Manchester United have confirmed the signing of Brazilian forward Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers, marking their first acquisition of the summer transfer window.

According to reports, the transfer fee is set at a substantial £62.5 million, with Cunha signing a long-term deal at Old Trafford that runs until June 2030, including an option for a one-year extension until 2031.

“Everyone at Manchester United is looking forward to welcoming Matheus to Old Trafford,” read the official statement from the club’s website, signaling a fresh chapter for both the player and the team under Ruben Amorim ongoing rebuild.

The 26-year-old Cunha brings a wealth of experience across Europe’s top leagues, having made 270 senior appearances and netted 72 goals while playing in the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, and the Swiss Super League.
