The deal includes a two-year contract with an option for a third year

Sources in Italy report that Kevin De Bruyne has reached a full agreement with Napoli and is expected to sign a two-year contract with the reigning Serie A champions.

The Belgian midfield maestro will arrive as a free agent after his decade-long stint with Manchester City came to an unexpected end. The deal includes a two-year contract with an option for a third year, along with a significant signing bonus.

Official confirmation from Napoli is expected early next week, according to multiple sources close to the negotiations.

De Bruyne, 33, had been open to extending his stay at Manchester City, where he became a club legend and helped the Citizens to six Premier League titles, but was ultimately informed that a renewal would not be offered.

This marks the second major free-agent acquisition for Napoli this summer. The club previously struck a deal with Jonathan David, the Canadian striker from Olympique Lyonnais, as they look to reinforce their squad ahead of another title challenge and a return to European competition.
