Dynamo Kyiv have reaffirmed their place at the top of Ukrainian football, claiming their 17th league title. Their long-time rivals, Shakhtar Donetsk, remain close behind with 15 championships to their name.

Since the inaugural season in 1992, Ukrainian domestic football has been largely dominated by these two giants. Only one club outside this duo has ever won the title—Tavriya Simferopol were crowned champions in the maiden campaign following the breakup of the Soviet Union.

The Ukrainian Premier League has seen fierce competition over the years, but Dynamo and Shakhtar have turned it into a duopoly, sharing every title since 1993. Below is the complete list of league champions by season:
