Real Madrid Overcome Sevilla
Real Madrid may have had nothing left to fight for in the La Liga standings, but that didn’t stop them from showing their class in a composed 2-0 away win over Sevilla on Matchday 37.
Already guaranteed to finish second behind newly crowned champions Barcelona, Carlo Ancelotti’s men entered the match with little external motivation. But as always with a club of Real Madrid's stature, internal standards and fierce squad competition are often motivation enough.
The game remained cagey until the final stages, when two of Madrid’s brightest stars stepped up to deliver. Kylian Mbappé opened the scoring with a precise finish, and Jude Bellingham added a late second to seal the result in typically ruthless fashion.
