Karim Benzema and Al-Ittihad Clinch Saudi Pro League Title
Karim Benzema has added another trophy to his illustrious career as Al-Ittihad secured the Saudi Pro League title with two games to spare following a 3–1 away win over Al-Raed on Matchday 32.
Managed by Laurent Blanc, Al-Ittihad came from behind after conceding in the ninth minute. The league leaders responded with two goals before the break and sealed victory early in the second half with a third strike — a confident, dominant performance worthy of champions.
Benzema’s Golden Touch Shines Again
The win means Al-Ittihad now hold an unassailable nine-point lead over closest rivals Al-Hilal, who — despite having a game in hand — cannot catch them due to an inferior head-to-head record.
Benzema has played a key role in Al-Ittihad’s success this season, bringing experience, leadership, and a winning mentality to the squad since his move from Real Madrid.
More Silverware on the Horizon?
With the league title now secured, Al-Ittihad will face Al-Shabab and Damac in their final two league fixtures before turning their attention to the King's Cup final on 30 May, where they will go head-to-head with Al-Qadsiah in pursuit of a domestic double.
If successful, it would cap a remarkable year for Benzema in Saudi football — one that could soon include two major trophies.
