Napoli have submitted a verbal offer to Shakhtar Donetsk for highly-rated Ukrainian midfielder Heorhiy Sudakov, according to reports from Calciomercato. The Serie A side are actively looking to bolster their midfield options ahead of next season, and the 21-year-old playmaker has emerged as one of their top targets.

The proposed deal would see Napoli pay €35 million upfront, with an additional €5 million in performance-related bonuses spread over the next five years. Talks between the two clubs are ongoing, with Shakhtar yet to give a final response as they assess the offer and weigh their options.

Earlier in April, Shakhtar Donetsk reportedly valued Sudakov at €40 million—a figure deemed too high by the Italians. Ironically, back in January 2024, Napoli were ready to match that very sum, but at the time the Ukrainian club were holding out for €50 million.

If the deal goes through, Sudakov is expected to sign a five-year contract worth around €2 million per season. While Napoli are optimistic, the final decision hinges on Shakhtar’s response and any possible last-minute adjustments to the terms of the transfer.
