Shakhtar's Sudakov Nears €40m Napoli Move
After months of speculation, it looks like Heorhii Sudakov is finally on the brink of a long-anticipated move to SSC Napoli. While no official confirmation has yet been made, reports from Italy suggest that the deal is now entering its final stages.
According to Tutto Napoli, both Shakhtar Donetsk and Napoli have come to terms on the transfer fee — the main stumbling block in negotiations that have been ongoing for over a year. The Serie A side is reportedly ready to pay €40 million for the Ukrainian international — the same amount they were willing to offer last summer. Back then, Shakhtar demanded €50 million, but the dynamics have clearly shifted.
Shakhtar’s CEO Serhii Palkin, who has been directly involved in the negotiations, confirmed last month that talks were progressing. Meanwhile, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is said to be personally pushing for Sudakov's arrival, eager to bolster the squad ahead of the club’s return to the UEFA Champions League next season.
The 21-year-old midfielder has been one of the standout performers in Ukrainian football, and a move to Italy would represent a major step in his career — as well as a clear statement of intent from Napoli.
