Plymouth - Leeds United 1:2

Leeds United have been crowned 2024–25 EFL Championship winners after a dramatic final-day victory over Plymouth Argyle, clinched by a stoppage-time strike from former Shakhtar Donetsk winger Manor Solomon.

The hosts took an early lead at Home Park in the 18th minute, courtesy of an unfortunate own goal from Ilia Gruev (initially misattributed to Byram), with Ukraine's Maksym Taloverov playing the full 90 minutes at centre-back for Plymouth. Leeds equalised shortly after the break through Wilfried Gnonto, but a draw wasn’t enough — only a win would deliver the title.

That crucial moment arrived in added time, when Solomon latched onto a loose ball inside the box and slotted home, sending the away end into raptures and delivering Leeds’ first second-tier title since 2020.

Meanwhile, Burnley defeated Millwall 3–1 in their final fixture, finishing level on 100 points with Leeds. However, Daniel Farke’s side claimed the title by virtue of superior goal difference, completing a thrilling end to the season.

Both Leeds United and Burnley earn automatic promotion to the Premier League, while the playoff battle for the final promotion spot will feature Sheffield United, Sunderland, Coventry City, and Bristol City.
