In the 28th round of the German 2. Bundesliga, one of the top contenders for the title, Hamburger, secured a dominant 3-0 away win over 1. FC Nürnberg. Sonny Kittel scored a brace, while David Glatzel sealed the victory.

With the win, Hamburger have regained the top spot in the 2. Bundesliga. Now, the pressure is on 1. FC Köln, who are two points behind and will host Hertha BSC this evening in a crucial match.

In two other matches, both ending 1-0, SV Darmstadt 98 defeated SpVgg Greuther Fürth, while Fortuna Düsseldorf edged past Preußen Münster.
