The Barcelona manager doubts Neymar's physical condition

The possibility of Neymar returning to Barcelona continues to generate buzz, with reports from Diario Sport outlining the specific conditions that must be met for the move to happen. These conditions relate to Neymar's form, financial terms, and the club's strategic vision.

First, Barcelona wants Neymar to prove he can still perform at the highest level. To do this, the 33-year-old Brazilian must score 15 goals for Santos before the end of the current European season. So far, he has 3 goals and 3 assists in 7 matches, meaning he needs to significantly increase his output in the remaining games (approximately 12 matches until June 2025, when his contract with Santos expires).

Additionally, Neymar would need to accept a substantial pay cut. At Santos, he earns around €482,000 per month plus advertising bonuses. Barcelona, facing financial constraints, cannot offer a comparable salary.

However, the biggest hurdle may be Hans-Dieter Flick's skepticism. The Barcelona manager doubts Neymar's physical condition and whether he fits into the club's philosophy of high-intensity football with a focus on young players.
