Official: Jude Bellingham Avoids Lengthy Suspension After Red Card
Jude Bellingham, the midfield star of Real Madrid, will miss two matches in La Liga following his red card in the 24th round of the Spanish top-flight against Osasuna (1-1).
The Englishman was shown a straight red card for his comments directed at the referee during the match. The competition committee assessed his actions as disrespectful but not directly insulting, which ultimately spared him from a suspension that could have ranged from 4 to 12 matches.
However, Real Madrid is set to appeal the decision. Should the suspension stand, Bellingham will miss the upcoming home match against Girona and the away fixture against Real Betis.
