On March 22, Florence will host the farewell match of 38-year-old Giuseppe Rossi.

"Florence is like a second home to me, and every time I return, I feel great. We've had many wonderful moments both on and off the pitch," said Rossi in an interview with Corriere dello Sport.

Rossi expressed his immense pride at the guests attending his farewell match: "I am incredibly proud that Sir Alex Ferguson, my first coach in professional football, will be here. Former Fiorentina striker Luca Toni, my national team teammate Antonio Cassano, Borja Valero, Sébastien Frey, and the legendary Gabriel Batistuta will also be joining us."

Rossi made his professional debut in the 2004/05 season with Manchester United. Over the years, he also played for Villarreal, Fiorentina, Genoa, SPAL, and several other clubs.

Throughout his career, the Italian forward played 363 matches, scoring 132 goals and providing 42 assists.
