Maurizio Sarri

Renowned Italian coach Maurizio Sarri is being tipped as the next manager of AS Roma, according to multiple reports in the Italian press.

Interestingly, Sarri was once close to taking charge at Roma but was ultimately beaten to the role by José Mourinho. Following that, Sarri accepted an offer from Roma’s city rivals Lazio. His time at Lazio, however, was far from successful, and he was dismissed in 2024.

2024-25 Italy - Serie A: Standings

The current head coach of Roma, Claudio Ranieri, will leave his position at the end of the season, regardless of the team’s final result. This is in line with the terms of his contract. Ranieri is expected to take on a new role as an advisor to the club’s president once his managerial duties come to an end.
