Real Madrid has been dealt another defensive blow as Lucas Vázquez is set to miss the highly anticipated Champions League knockout tie against Manchester City. The versatile defender has been sidelined with a muscle injury, adding to the growing list of defensive woes for the Spanish giants this season.

According to an official statement from the club, Vázquez has sustained a hamstring injury to his left thigh. The injury is expected to keep him out of action for 2-3 weeks, ruling him out of both legs of the Champions League Round of 16 clash against Manchester City, scheduled for February 11 and 19.
