Sergio Ramos is making a return to the pitch

Spanish football legend Sergio Ramos is making a return to the pitch at the age of 38, and he's doing so with a lucrative deal. The former Real Madrid captain has signed a one-year contract with Rayados de Monterrey, reportedly worth €4 million annually, plus additional performance-related bonuses.

The official presentation of Ramos is expected to take place later today, as the veteran defender looks to reignite his career in Mexico's Liga MX.

Ramos has been out of action at the professional level since the end of last season after his contract with Sevilla expired. His new move to Rayados de Monterrey marks a new chapter for the 38-year-old, who has won numerous titles including multiple La Liga and Champions League trophies during his illustrious career.
