Australian Open

The world No. 2 in the ATP rankings, Alexander Zverev, has advanced to the semifinals of the Australian Open 2025, becoming the first player so far to achieve this feat. His victory in the quarterfinals was far from easy. His opponent, American Tommy Paul, put up a fierce fight, even managing to win a set, while two others were decided in tiebreaks. However, the German Zverev stepped up at the decisive moment, unleashing all his resources and dominating his opponent in the final set.

The final score was 3:1 (7:6 (7:1), 7:6 (7:0), 2:6, 6:1). The match lasted 3 hours and 32 minutes.

In the semifinals of the Australian Open, Zverev will face the winner of the match between Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz, the marquee clash of the quarterfinal stage.
