Man City will pay 40 million euros for the Uzbekistan national team player
Manchester City have agreed a €40m deal with Lance for centre-back Abdukodir Khusanov.
Khusanov will be the first player from Uzbekistan to join the English Premier League club. He will also be City's first significant January acquisition since the transfer of Emerick Laporte in 2018.
Lance bought Khusanov from Belarusian club Energetic-BGU for €100,000 18 months ago. The footballer has progressed rapidly and this season has already played 13 matches in Ligue 1, as well as 18 matches for the Uzbekistan national team. Khusanov scored his first goal for the French club in his last match - a French Cup game against Paris Saint-Germain on 22 December.
City are also in talks with Brazilian Palmeiras to acquire defender Vitor Reis and are interested in Egyptian striker Omar Marmoush after the 25-year-old's impressive play for Frankfurt this season.
