Oleksandr Zinchenko

Mikel Arteta has reportedly lost confidence in Oleksandr Zinchenko and is pushing for his departure from Arsenal. According to Inside Sport, the London club is open to selling the Ukrainian international during the current transfer window.

Arsenal is said to be seeking €30 million for Zinchenko’s transfer. While no specific suitors have been named, the report suggests that Arteta would not be deterred by the prospect of selling the player to a rival club, with Nottingham Forest mentioned as a possible destination.

2024-25 Premier League Standings

The 2023/24 season has been a challenging one for Zinchenko, who has struggled to make an impact due to persistent injuries. The defender has managed just 10 appearances for the Gunners so far. Adding to concerns, sports medicine specialists speculate that the 26-year-old may be dealing with a chronic injury, potentially limiting his ability to return to peak form.

For now, Arsenal’s decision appears to hinge on whether they can find a buyer willing to meet their valuation, while Zinchenko faces an uncertain future at the Emirates.
