Carlo Ancelotti

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti addressed the media ahead of his team’s first match of 2025, a La Liga clash against Valencia. The Italian manager emphasized the importance of starting the year on a strong note.

"We begin the year with another challenge, and we are ready for it," Ancelotti stated. "It will be a tough match against a team that has a new manager and always makes things difficult for us. We want to start the year confidently. The squad is in good shape, and the break has been beneficial. Everyone has returned motivated and in great condition."

Ancelotti acknowledged the changes at Valencia under their new head coach. "The new manager has brought his own ideas, so we’re expecting a challenging game. I don’t know what the atmosphere in the stands will be like, but we need to focus on the match and nothing else."

2024-25 La Liga Standings

Reflecting on the team’s recent form, Ancelotti expressed optimism. "After a difficult period in November, the team has responded very well. We’re looking much better now. The motivation is high, and we’ve welcomed back several injured players. David Alaba is training with us again, and the atmosphere in the team is excellent—it will stay that way as long as we keep winning."

The match between Valencia and Real Madrid kicks off tomorrow at 21:00 CET, promising an exciting start to the year for both teams.
