Sudakov could bring much-needed creativity and vision to Diego Simeone's midfield

Speculation has begun in Spain about a potential transfer involving Georgiy Sudakov to Atlético Madrid. The young midfielder from Shakhtar Donetsk recently expressed his interest in continuing his career in England or Spain, leagues whose styles he admires. Now, this aspiration might be closer to reality.

According to ElGolDigital, Atlético Madrid is determined to address their creative midfield needs in the coming months. While their primary target has been Alberto Moleiro of Las Palmas, who is widely regarded as a player with immense potential, Sudakov has emerged as a compelling alternative.

The report highlights Atlético’s appreciation for Sudakov's technical skills and tactical intelligence. However, acquiring the Ukrainian star will not come cheap. Shakhtar is unlikely to part with their prized midfielder for less than €50 million. With Sudakov under contract until 2028, the only realistic path for Atlético is a significant transfer fee.

If the Madrid club decides to proceed, Sudakov could bring much-needed creativity and vision to Diego Simeone's midfield, addressing a gap that has hindered their attacking dynamism in recent seasons.
