The Italian national team became the winner of the 2024 Davis Cup - they defeated the Netherlands in the final.

The Italians approached this match as favourites to defend the title, which they won last year for the second time in their history. Matteo Berrettini and Botic van de Zandschulp were the first to take to the court. The Dutchman managed to give fight to his opponent only in the first game, when the intrigue was kept to the last. Berrettini took the second set easily and put the fate of the confrontation in the hands of world number one Yannick Sinner.

And the leader of the champions got a historic victory for his team, defeating Tallon Griekspoor in two sets. This match followed a similar pattern: the first set went to a tie-break, but the Dutchman didn't have enough for the second one.
