Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick showcased a striking level of self-criticism following his team’s disappointing 2-2 draw against Celta Vigo. The German tactician corrected a journalist who suggested that the problem only lay in the final 10 minutes of the match, during which the Galicians remarkably came back from 0-2 down to snatch a draw.

"Not just in the last 10 minutes," Flick clarified. "Our style and overall performance were poor for the entire 90 minutes. We simply played a bad game."

A Team Effort in Success and Failure

Flick went on to emphasize that the draw was a reflection of collective shortcomings:

"This result stems from the entire match—poor passing, bad decisions, and losing possession in key moments. We win together, and we lose together."

Flick also took the opportunity to deflect pressure away from Jules Koundé, whose mistake led to Celta Vigo’s first goal.

A Worrying Defensive Stat

The numbers underline Barcelona's struggles: Celta managed seven shots on target in the second half alone—a statistic not seen against the Catalan club since 2017.

As Barcelona continues to fight for consistency, Flick’s honesty may serve as a rallying cry for improvement in the crucial weeks ahead.
