Arsenal - Liverpool 2:2

The biggest match of the Premier League 9th round was the clash between the two title contenders - Arsenal and Liverpool.

The Reds from London opened the scoring very quickly. In the 9th minute, Saka shot hard into the near post - Kelleher was unable to deflect the shot.

But in the 15th minute, Liverpool showed that they would not accept such a scoreline, but Salah was a bit unlucky - the ball after his shot flew close to the bar. However, three minutes later, the Reds got back into the game. Diaz headed the ball from a corner to the near post and van Dijk sent it into the net.

Before the break, Arsenal reminded that set plays are their killer weapon - Rice crossed from a free kick, and Merino made a great header, scoring his debut goal for the Gunners.

Arsenal kept the winning score for most of the second half, occasionally stinging the opponent with counterattacks. But they could not hold on to the victory - in the 81st minute, after Nunez's pass to the 11-metre mark, Salah shot past the goalkeeper into the bottom left corner.

2-2 - a draw that neither Arsenal nor Liverpool were happy about. And only in Manchester City everyone took this result with satisfaction. After all, Pep Guardiola's team remained first in the Premier League table.
