Manchester City - Southampton 1:0

Manchester City defeated Southampton in the ninth round of the EPL and again topped the standings.

Erling Holand broke his goal drought as early as the fifth minute. Everything was perfect from the Norwegian striker - a quick decision and a killer shot.

Southampton created their only chance in the added time. Archer ran away from defenders and hit the crossbar.

Manchester City took the hint and tried to score a second goal as quickly as possible after the break. It was Holand again on the edge of the area, but the Norwegian missed chance after chance - first, a defender blocked his header, then Erling shot close to the bar, and ten minutes later the Norwegian missed the goal again.

In the end Manchester City got a victory with a minimal advantage - 1:0.

Man City are back on top of the table and tomorrow the whole team will no doubt be watching the clash between their main rivals when Arsenal host Liverpool.
