Nigeria stumbled to a 1-1 draw against Equatorial Guinea in their opening game in the Africa Cup of Nations. In the 36th minute Guinea’s forward Ivan Salvador offered his team the first goal. But Nigeria reacted quickly by tying the score only two minutes later with a header by striker Victor Osimhen.

Ivory Coast face Nigeria on Thursday in the second Group A match.
